Day 1: Arrival in Miami

Travellers are responsible for their transportation to Miami. The transfer from Miami International Airport to Miami Hollywood Beach takes approx. 30 min.


Day 2: Miami – Key Largo

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and take the transfer bus to Key Largo. Duration: approx. 2.5 hrs. Check in at your hotel there. A Mecklenburger Radtour representative will be waiting to greet you and hand over your rental bike to you. If you like, you can take an excursion on the island of Key Largo.


Day 3: Key Largo – Islamorada
Distance: approx 31 km / 19 mi

Cycle the Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail across the islands of Key Largo and Plantation Key to your hotel on Islamorada. The trail leads you parallel to the dreamy beaches, often only a few feet away. The Atlantic invites you to take a swim in its turquoise water and relax on its snow white sandy beaches characterized by palm trees and mangroves. Spend the night on Islamorada.


Day 4: Islamorada – Marathon Key
Distance: approx 55 km / 34 mi

Today, cycle across several small islands to Marathon Key. On the way take a detour to The Dolphin Connection, a salt water lagoon / acquarium, on Duck Key. Porky's restaurant on Marathon just before the seven mile long bridge is famous for its BBQ.


Day 5: Marathon Key – Key West
Distance: approx 60 km / 37 mi

After breakfast take the transfer bus across the long bridge to the island of Big Pine Key. Your rental bike will be waiting for you there. Cycle across the Lower Keys to Key West. You may like to take advantage of the hotel shuttle bus to the harbour to enjoy a nice fish or lobster meal.


Day 6: Key West

We highly recommend you visit the southern-most point of the USA, if you haven't already. Cuba is only 90 miles from there. Don't pass up the opportunity to visit Old Town with its beautiful wooden houses, or visit the Hemingway House. The author lived there in the 1920's. Watching the sunset is a special breathtaking experience. Accommodations same as Day 5.


Day 7: Key West – Miami Hollywood Beach

Check out after breakfast and take the transfer bus in the morning back to Miami Hollywood Beach. Duration: approx. 3.5 hrs. Accommodations same as Day 1.


Day 8: Departure from Miami

Take the transfer bus to Miami International Airport and fly home.
