Day 1: Arrival in Berlin / Oranienburg

Travellers are responsible for their own transportation to Oranienburg. Take the S-Bahn (commuter train) from Downtown Berlin. Spend the night in Oranienburg.


Day 2: Oranienburg – Fürstenberg & Surroundings
Distance: approx 65 km / 40 mi

Cycle along the Oder-Havel-Canal to Liebenwalde. Continue along the Havel to Zehdenick. Overnight in Neuglobsow or Fürstenberg.


Day 3: Fürstenberg - Neustrelitz
Distance: approx 60 km / 37 mi

Along the way, you will come across the legendary Lake Stechlin, which has been immortalized through literature by T. Fontane. Overnight in Neustrelitz.


Day 4: Neustrelitz - Waren
Distance: approx 67 km / 42 mi

A highlight of this tour is the Müritz National Park. Along the way lies the small village of Ankershagen, where Schliemann, who discovered Troy, grew up. Overnight in the Waren area.


Day 5: Waren - Krakow
Distance: approx 50 km / 31 mi

In the Nossentiner Heide National Park, cycle through the vast wooded area to Krakow. Overnight in or near Krakow am See.


Day 6: Krakow - Güstrow
Distance: approx 30 km / 19 mi

Güstrow, renowned for the late artist, Barlach, isn't far away. A sightseeing tour in the Old Town and in the E. Barlach Atelier is time well spent. Overnight in Güstrow.


Day 7: Güstrow - Rostock
Distance: approx 37-54 km / 23-34 mi

Cycle along the Bützow-Güstrow-Canal. En route travellers may take any number of trains to Rostock at their own expense if they so deisre. Overnight in Rostock / Warnemünde (during Hansesail Regatta in the first part of August, possibility of overnight stay in Güstrow).


Day 8: Rostock – Nykøbing
Distance: approx 32 km / 20 mi

Take the train from the Rostock Hauptbahnhof (main train station) to the ferry harbor. Take the ferry from there to Gedser. Duration: approx. 2 hrs. On the Danish side enjoy the lovely stretches on dikes and through forest along Falster's beautiful beach. Overnight in Nykøbing.


Day 9: Nykøbing – Stege
Distance: approx 69 km / 43 mi

Cycle along the coast to the old merchant city of Stubbekøbing. It will be worth your while to take a stroll through town before taking the ferry to the island of Bogø where the ferry will make a quick stop. Continue on the ferry to the island of Møn. Overnight in a comfortable country hotel.


Day 10: Island of Møn - Køge
Distance: approx 52 – 68 km / 32 - 42 mi

Cross the bridge from Møn to Zealand. Continue north through the coastal landscape. Cottages and manor houses dot the surrounding countryside. It is approx. 52 km / 32 mi to Fakse and approx. 68 km / 42 mi to the cliffs at Rødvig. Travellers are responsible for their own transportation by train to Køge. Stay overnight.


Day 11: Køge - Copenhagen
Distance: approx 49 km / 30 mi

Today's leg of the tour leads you along the beaches. You may like to visit the Museum for Modern Art in Ishøj. Copenhagen is enchanting. A visit to the Tivoli Gardens is a must and a stroll around the old harbor is a great way to crown your day. Overnight in Copenhagen.


Day 12: Departure from Copenhagen

Depart after breakfast. Travellers are responsible for their homeward transportation. Please let us know at time of booking if you would like to extend your stay in Copenhagen.
