Cycle from Stralsund to Greifswald and Zinnowitz. Cross the island of Usedom on your way to Heringsdorf, the Stettin Bay, and Anklam. Take the train back to Greifswald and return to Stralsund by bike.

Day 1: Arrival in Stralsund

We will hand over your rental bike to you. A personal advisor will welcome you and answer any questions you may have regarding the tour. Spend the night in the beautiful city of Stralsund.


Day 2: Stralsund – Greifswald
Distance: approx 40-50 km / 25-31 mi

Cycle along the sound and past the colony of common cranes in Brandshagen on your way to Greifswald. Late painter, Caspar David Friedrich, used the monastery ‘Eldena’ near Greifswald as a backdrop for many of his paintings. Stay overnight in Greifswald.


Day 3: Greifswald – Zinnowitz & Surroundings
Distance: approx 47 km / 29 mi

Enjoy the scenery as you pass idyllic Pomeranian villages and old manor houses on your way to Zinnowitz. Your destination for today is North Usedom. Spend the night in or near Zinnowitz or in Karlshagen.


Day 4: Zinnowitz – Bansin – Heringsdorf/Ahlbeck
Distance: approx 35 km / 22 mi

Cycle across land between the Baltic Sea and the the bay called ‘Achterwasser’ on your way to one of the most beautiful beaches in Germany. Stay the night in one of the resort towns of Bansin, Heringsdorf, or Ahlbeck.


Day 5: Heringsdor / Ahlbeck - Greifswald
Distance: approx 52 km / 32 mi

Today, you will cycle from Heringsdorf to Ahlbeck. There you can enjoy the liveliness of the town before heading on to tranquil back country. Pass the town of Usedom on your way to Anklam in the afternoon. Take the train from Anklam to Greifswald and spend the night there.


Day 6: Greifswald – Stralsund , 40 km / 25 mi
Distance: approx 40 km / 25 mi

Cycle on tranquil trails in the beautiful Pomeranian coastal region on your way from Greifswald to Stralsund. Idyllic villages with quaint gardens dot the meadow landscape. You may want to stop in at one of the restaurants on your way to enjoy local specialties. As you approach Stralsund you will see the towers of St. Marien Church, Nikolai Church, and the Jacobi Church. Spend the night in Stralsund.


Day 7: Departure from Stralsund

Turn your rental bikes in and depart after breakfast. Travellers are responsible for their homeward transportation.
