South of Amrum lie the small islands of Hallig Hooge and Langeness in the Wadden Sea. There's no better place to be in the summer when flowers bloom. It's like being in an oasis. One of the greatest tourist attractions on Hooge is the parlour called the “Königs-Pesel”. It is named after the Danish king, Friedrich VI, who once spent the night there. Accommodations same as day 4. You may want to spend an extra night on the island and use the following day as a day of rest or to take an excursion to the island of Sylt.

Day 6: Amrum – Bredstedt
Distance: approx 22 km / 14 mi

Cycle through Dagebüll and along the dikes until you reach the North Frisian town of Bredstedt. The town is known as a centre for linguistic research. Stay overnight in or near Bredstedt.

Day 7: Bredstedt – Nordstrand – Husum
Distance: approx 44-60 km / 27-37 mi

Cycle along the dikes across the Wadden See, past Hamburger Hallig and Nordstrandischmoor. Continue to Nordstrand. The “Pharisäer”, a coffee drink made with rum and whipped cream, was created there. If you like, you can take a quick detour to the island of Pellworm today. Make your way back to the mainland and the city of Husum. Spend the night there.

Day 8: Departure from Husum

Turn in your rental bike and depart the lively harbour city after breakfast. Travellers are responsible for their own transportation home.
