The Main River curves and bends through the varying Franconian vineyard landscape and into the dark green Spessart Forest near Würzburg.
The palaces, castles, and artistically adorned churches tell of the region's history. The cities on the Main River such as Bamberg, Würzburg, Miltenberg with its winding alleys and timber-framed houses, and Ochsenfurt, just to name a few, are quite charming.
