Recreation along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route
There is ample to do for the entire family along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route and fine sandy beaches lined with dunes, especiallz in the warmer months of the year. Go for a swim or spend the afternoon basking in the sun, go diving, sailing, or cycling - the choice is yours. The coastal cities are also worth seeing, including the Hanseatic City of Rostock known for its shipbuilding industry, sea harbour for ferries to Scandinavia, sea-side resort of Warnemünde, and its Brick Gothic architecture.
There is so much to see and experience between Flensburg and Ahlbeck. Flensburg is the northernmost starting point for our bicycle tours in Schleswig-Holstein. The tour from there to Lübeck is approx. 250 km / 155 mi long and consists of 6 to 7 stages. If you prefer a shorter tour you can cycle to Kiel instead or start in Kiel.
Lübeck is famous for "Mann and Marzipan" and is not only the destination icty of our Schleswig-Holstein Route, but also the firest city of our tour along the Mecklenburg-Pomerania Coast. There are over 600 km / 373 mi worth of bicycle trails that can be explored from Priwall to Stralsund and across Rügen and Usedom to Ahlbeck. Experience all the region has to offer of its culture, cuisine, landscape, and sights.
