About the Region

The Weser River is one of Northern Germany’s largest and most important rivers. 

Our bicycle tours on the Weser River Cycle Route starts in the “Three-River-City”, Hann. Münden, where the Fulda meets the Weser. Admire the historic Weser Renaissance architecture in the Old Town. The Weser Cycle Route runs through beautiful varying landscape. 

From there, follow the winding river through the Weser mountain range characterised by forest and picturesque towns. Cycle through towns with adorable timber-framed houses such as Höxter, Rinteln, or Hameln.

Meet “The Lying Baron of Münchhausen” in Bodenwerder and “The Pied Piper”in Hamlin. Cycle through Porta Westfalica and enter the vast flatlands of Northern Germany. 

The Old Town of Nienburg is a wonderful place to visit, and the cathedral in Verden is worth seeing. Verden is also known for its horse breeding. The Bremen Roland statue and the Bremen Town Musicians monument “Hanseatically” await you.

Continue north to the beach of Cuxhaven where the seagulls squawk and the North Sea waves thunder their welcome.
