About the Region
North Frisia is a vast, flat land with winding canals and protective dikes as far as the eye can see.
Starting in Husum, which the poet Theodor Strom called „the gray city on the sea“, the route takes you to islands and “halligs”. Take a ferry over the Wadden Sea to the green island of Föhr, then to Amrun with its lovely sand beach, and to the small halligs of Hooge and Langeness.
Enjoy the healthy fresh air of the North Sea and take in the beauty of sky and water along the coast and the islands of Northern Germany.
