About the Region

Germany’s longest coastline runs along the Baltic Sea. There is much to be experienced and discovered between Flensburg and Ahlbeck.

Bicycle tours along the Baltic Coast offer various sights and excursions and are easy to cycle due to minimal inclines. This makes them ideal for Family Cycling Holidays.

Flensburg is the most northern city in Schleswig-Holstein where our bicycle tour begins. It takes you in six or seven stages to Lübeck, over 250 km / 155 mi. If you prefer a shorter route, you can cycle to Kiel or start your tour there.

Lübeck, also known for its marzipan, is where the Baltic Sea Cycle Route ends in Schleswig-Holstein and where it begins in Mecklenburg-Pomerania. There are over 600 km / 373 mi that can be cycled from Priwall to Stralsund, across the islands of Rügen and Usedom, and to Ahlbeck. 1,001 opportunities await you to experience local culture and enjoy what the region has to offer.
