The Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route is over 630 km / 391 mi long. The route is very well built and takes you through fascinating landscapes, from the cosmopolitan city of Berlin to the ‘Little Mermaid’ in Copenhagen. All ages can enjoy the regional culture, nature, and cycling on this famous route. You not only get to see the large cities, but also small villages, and tranquil remote areas along small and large rivers, all the way to the Baltic Sea coast.

Sights along the Berlin Wall Cycle Route

Start at the heart of Berlin – the Brandenburger Gate – and cycle along the Berlin Wall Cycle Route to discover part of Germany’s history. Continue to Oranienburg and spend a restful evening in a nice hotel. You will put approx. 65 km / 40 mi behind each day for three days of the tour. Cycle at your own pace, take breaks whenever you like, and visit sights. A quiet evening meal will be waiting for you at your destination hotel.

Spontaneous Excursions

Included in your travel information packet are brochures for points of interest. Whatever your interests may be, follow them and enjoy the ride. There are ample opportunities to experience the region. For instance, on Day 6, you can take a tour of Güstrow’s Old Town and the E. Barlach Atelier, or just lie peacefully by the lake and go for a swim.

Follow the Bützwo-Güstrow-Canal to the Hanseatic city of Rostock on the Baltic coast and Baltic Sea Cycle Route. The Old Town with its medieval brick buildings and numerous churches is worth visiting. Take the two hour ferry ride from Rostock to Gedser.

Continue on the Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route and along the coast to the historic merchant city of Stubbekøbing. From there take a ferry to the islands of Bogø and Møn. Denmark is known for its landscape of meadows and farmlands. Take in the beauty of the nearby coast on your way to the capital of Copenhaben, one of Northern Europe’s most important cities.
