The Eastern coast of Mecklenburg-Pommerania is an excellent place for walking and has wonderful fine sandy beaches on the islands and the peninsula to enjoy.

Bornholm is also worth visiting. Start in Stralsund to experience the maritime Hanseatic city. The next day, take the bus and ferry to Bornholm to enjoy untouched nature on Denmark's most eastern island.
